The Barossa Marathon Festival is held every year starting in the scenic vineyard-surrounded Tanunda. The event attracts runners from right across the world, wanting to challenge their fitness levels in the marathon (42.2km), half marathon (21.1km), 10km and 5km events. The course is very flat, perfect for those wanting a quick time or ‘personal best’. For the first time this year, the Barossa Marathon will be also be part of the Triple Vine Series and will be the second event of the series which includes the Clare Valley, Barossa and McLaren Vale events.

Location Change: Due to COVID concerns, our request to use the normal venue at the Faith Lutheran College has been turned down. We are still hoping that the college reverse their decision but if they don't, this years event will be based at The Rex Aquatic Centre. The course will essentially be the same except for the Start, Marathon Turn and Finish which will be on the road outside of the Aquatic Centre. The race village will be in the Rex Car Park. We realise that this is not an ideal venue to hold such a large event but under the circumstances, it is really our only option. Thanks to the Rex for allowing us to use their facilities. More information will be forthcoming.
