Women's Recreational Running Network
Running SA and the Adelaide City Council have teamed up to create an award-winning initiative called the Women’s Recreational Running Network (WRRN). The WRRN aims to activate underutilised city parks and break down barriers for women's participation in physical activity within the City of Adelaide.
The concept involves a “run club” where women can get together under the guidance of a qualified run leader in a non-threatening environment.
The WRRN:
- Is FREE!
- Caters for women of all ages and abilities. In fact, if you're new to running, this is a great opportunity to get involved!
- Is operated by nationally accredited running coaches - all of whom enjoy running themselves!
- Is flexible. You can attend as often or as little as you like
- Has various days and times available (and we are working on adding more!)
- Encourages members to use sustainable transport options to attend their runs - bike parking available at all locations.
Nearly 2000 women have already signed up, with around 50% of these being beginning runners! So what are you waiting for?!
